THA CRUNCH..!!

Ok COME BACK kids, as you all know, California is B to the R to the O to the K to the E..!! (for ya'll on the IEP's= BROKE.. )
What are we going to do? I mean REALLY?!! At this point, moving out and leaving Kim behind is NOT an option. Where I'ma live? ..womp womp..
So how is the job search/searching going for you? Are you even searching? Are you pretending with your search, because you want to seem proactive with your life? (...and to keep Kim off your back)
Are we spinning our wheels with this economy talk? Is the internet with all these job websites really working? Why do we even have job fairs? Do you think they even work, what purpose do they REALLY serve? Just random thoughts that I think about.
I mean to be a person of seemingly somewhat intelligence, I still for the life of me can't wrap my head around jobs going out to recruit people..and they have no money?
My next question is for the KIM'S (or just Kim, since she may be the only one reading this, HA!).. Do you feel as though your COME BACK kid/s lack motivation in the job search area? Does it frustrate you, or are you empathetic to their situation? ...hhhhmmm...
..till then my COME BACK kids, continue on in your quest of SPINNING YOUR WHEELS.....
btw, become a follower with my blog..oh and leave a comment..

  4. Ok so i get what y'all are saying here. You mad cuz you had to move back in yo mama's house. You mad cuz you can't get yo freak on unless it's at lunchtime when yo mama is at work (like in high school for some people.). You mad cuz you gotta be the maid and the guest at yo mama's house. And finally, you mad like everybody else who blames some of it (at least in part) on the recession. Hell, it must be bad. My past freak of the week just asked me could he move in.....and he plays for the NBA! Its just a situation where the outsider (i.e. grown and supposed to be out of the parents house) merges with the insider (i.e. you back in yo mama's house and don't need to be reminded that ur daddy takes a massive dump at 2AM every night) and has created an identity that does not even closely speak to your idea of swag.

Well, Im here to say, it could be worse! Some poeple in the US and who practice American culture are mad at having to move back in with parents. Trust me, ya mama's is smilin' but they ain't that happy about you being there. But there are some too, of other cultures, who want to move out but can't. In some cultures, you don't move out until you're married. And in some cultures you never move out, its understood that you move your new family in. So understand, you are just victims of your (American) environment brothas and sistas. If you lived in another country you'd be doing the thug thizzle my nea!

You know what they say. Even a broke clock is right at least two times a day!

  5. dmtlmdn,

I feel you...I really do. Folks are simply products of their environments. I believe that's the point of this blog though. It isn't really socially "acceptable" to move back with our "Kims," for whatever reasons, although things could be MUCH worse. Whether that's good or bad is another thing, but to create a place to publicly dialogue about the "difficulties" of living with our Kims is great! Especially when you tie some humor into it as well.

Btw, tell your "freak of the week" that I'd be glad to rent him one side of my room in exchange for his Clipper tickets. Well, only the games against the Lakers, Cavaliers, and Celtics!!! That is, if he REALLY plays for the L.A Clippers, and not the NBA 2K9 CLIPPERS (on my xbox).

  6. RM,

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm from one of those cultures where it's actually cool and the gang (literally) to stay in the parents house and even move in the spouse. And I'm lookin' like WTH is goin on over here? Please push me to get out of your house. Please dont make deals with me about paying a lower rent to stay at home than paying rent for some other place. Please don't make deals with me to work for you (around the house) in exchange for free rent. No that's not why I went to college. Please acknowledge that there is an outside world and it is one I need to engage with rather than get to know Pooky and 'em when they come by the house. Best case scenario is that I will be out working or jobhunting when Pooky and 'em come by. Please push for my success. Please wish for me more than you had, Kim. Please.

The difficulty in that is when Kim can't see how socially stunting it is for American children NOT to be pushed out. But...to each his own (or their mama's own).
