Once again, I HAVE TO APOLOGIZE… PROFUSLY.. I mean like really?.. Three weeks, and I couldn’t even give at least one entry. I mean, I didn’t know that it was going to be this time consuming, truth be told.. BUT IT IA WUT IT IAA..
Anyway, I have gotten so much LOVE about the website.. I decided to continue in my quest of sharing the short stories of others CBK's.
Soooo, what exactly is a nugget of knowledge, you ask? Well, it’s that RANDOM piece of info that Kim feels so inclined to share…. WITHOUT you asking!!!
You know, the RANDOM questions she may ask as you prepare for your SATURDAY NIGHT. You spend your entire day, getting your fresh haircut/line up, or you get that fresh press/flatwrap (shout out to Andi and Josie). You got those new shoes, and your CORE group of homies who are on the way to pick you up. You are ready TO BE SEEN…
Then here comes KIM, coming into your world to.. SHUT THE MIUSIC IN YOUR HEAD DOWN!!! “Do you have a jacket, you know it’s cold outside.”…
(cricket, cricket)… huh? In that moment, RIGHT THERE, my fellow CBK, you just got hit with KIM’S NUGGET OF KNOWLEDGE!!!
So CBK’s what random nugget of knowledge has Kim given you?
My advice is, if you want to avoid having this conversation EVERYTIME you are going out. Just simply say, “It’s in my car.” Regardless of it’s the truth or not!!!
OK - so as the official one woman street team, I too apologize for slippin. I was going to remind you of your dereliction of duties re: us CBK's, but I know you had to tend to your KIM so it's all good. Other than that, great minds think alike bc I was JUST thinking about "Nuggets" the other day! Can't say I have any to share right now but when I do, WATCH OUT! It will be lifechanging (as they always are)....on the gooch :)

ReplyDeleteBut what about when Kim hits you with, "Gurl, you should slow down on that bread...you gettin' a little thick there!" (Uhh huh, yes she did.) And you know my response: Why, THANK U!!! I appreciate you noticing my new-found thickness! That's typical Kim right there....just say whatever! What if I was sensitive about that (which I'm not). What u don't want to do is pop-off on Kim in this situation (should u be sensitive)...u don't wanna get hit with that "this is MY house" business. Its gets tricky at that juncture...avoid that AT ALL COSTS, yo!!!!
I couldn't agree with you more D... BUT most importantly, WHY are you up at 12:03AM commenting, but I can't find you on ichat at 9:30PM? What's that about?

I don't know about you, but I have this GINORMOUS urge to grab my mother's warm, freshly brewed, steamy cup of Joe and toss it ALL OVER her front porch when she "reminds" me for the 1,000,000,000,000,000 time to "make sure you wear your seatbelt!" Did I mention that I'm a 30-something year old GROWN-ASS MAN!!!!
